Been feeding it for a couple of years now and will continue to do so. Less clean up and dogs look good and hold up very well on it.

Love it dogs never looked or operated better! Some say they have had issues with females not cycling properly but all the females I've had on it come in regular! One just came in a week and a half ago.

Victor.....

It's about like any other average feed.....
Black Gold
Sportmix
Diamond
Joy
Victor
Pedigree

These and Many more are just mediocre Dog Foods........
There are Much better Feeds than these listed....

Rob
I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time....LOL
I have tried All the Feeds that I listed, including Victor. My Dogs just didn't look good on any of these, way too much waste. I just didn't see that WOW look & Performance that I get with some other Feeds.

I have been using Purina Pro Plan Performance for about 8 months.....Using it on Coonhounds, a Lab, & a House Dog ( Chihuahua )
I feed half the feed, Very little Cleanup, Hair is nice & shiny and they stay Muscled Up.
Everyone has there own opinion on what is the Best Light, Best Dogfood, Best Vehicle, etc.

purple bag

Fed EA for a couple years and was very satisfied except dogs always looked a little thin.Won 2 bags of Caliber,in about 3 weeks dog lost 6 pounds hair falling out looked terrible.Switched to Victor and in 10 days dog looks 100% better, picking up weight coat is looking much better. So far so good, believe Victor is better than EA.

Going on over 2 years feeding Victor Hi Pro Plus and can tell you that the dogs look real good, their hair is soft and slick, stool looks good, and they hold up well when being hunted hard - overall act real good. I have a yellow lab that had seizures for years (10 yrs old now) and he quit having them when I switched him over to Victor ( Senior formula). I have fed Purina Pro Plan too and had good results with it too but gotta say that Victor has won me over.

I switched to SportMix high energy mini Chuck's. Dogs look great, have super high energy, feed 1/2 what I was. It is chicken based, 3 of the first 5 ingredients are meat based. I will stick with it.
A new development, if someone wants to PM me, I can explain

I've never fed victor, I have heard it is good feed. If I was goin g too feed it I would look at I think they call it hi-pro plus it's a 30-20 feed. A lot of people just look at the numbers on the bag. They see 30-20 and think it's better than a bag that says 28-18. Our hounds are athletes and an athlete needs a good protein and fat source too succeed and be the best they can. All protein and fat sources are not equal some are more easily digestible and have better absorption rates. That's why you can feed the same dogs the exact same amounts of different feeds and some will create more waste than others. A lot of times that 40lb bag of feed that is $10 more than that 50lb bag cost less or the same too feed. A lot of coo hunters are cheap. They will go and spend $40000 on s truck $1000 on a tracking system and $2500-$5000 on a dog and complain about the $1.00 or so a day it cost too feed a quality feed.

Not saying my hounds didn't perform well, they did.
No pups,no heat or 1/2 heat cycles from my females.Even had vet help with breeding.testing, live,ai and live, direct into uterus ai........0 pups in 5 yrs on it. Multiple females raised here, bought and brought in{that prev. had pups,I seen them}NO pups.
Sold 1.Buyer took her OFF 24/20.Had pups next cycle.

I hear what you're saying like I said I have no experience with it myself. I have read about other people saying the same as you are on the victor. I have known people that fed it and like it that included some raising pups. I have not read about any other feeds that people are feeding that are having the same problems. It would be interesting to find out if people are having problems with females cycling and raising pups on a particular formula of victor. If we can narrow it down too a particular formula we maybe able to compare it's ingredients with the other formulas and see what the differences are, and maybe able too find a reason.
