Snake Bite

I had a dog that got bit Friday night. I got him antibiotics from the vet and turptine on the sight. Any other helpful tips with swelling or in general. First time I had a dog bit by a snake

I had a pup bit right on the top of the nose by a cotton mouth and I gave her penicillin, benedryl, and vitamin C. Kept her confined and kept the bite itself clean and she was back to normal in no time.
