Question Hofmeister's Popsicle pete

I've seen this hound in a lot of PED as I'm sure most of us have but what is his background any information would be great and thanks as in what kind of hound was he?

I hunted with him when he was young. Harold said he had more rusty in him than rusty did. Big coarse mouth Coon treer. Smart handle real well

Like everybody, Harold got older and could not keep up or hear as well.

Given the few females he bred, he produced incredibly well.

He bred his Lady female to Pete a total of seven different times and each litter produced some nice dogs. He felt like each litter got better, or maybe he heard about the pups in those later litters more so than the earlier ones....but it one of the few times that you hear about repeat litters over several years of experimentation and trials.

I had one out of Pete that I hunted all last season that treed a pile of coons.

I had a female out Pete big houndy looking dog. Treed coon first night I ever took her woods about year old. Had lots hunt and hard tree dog. Was a coon killing machine. But she was chop mouth on ground and only had average mouth at best.
