Gander Moiuntain

Seen in the paper they are bankrupt, will be closing all stores. If you have a gift card better get it used. They said some stores will be closed by the end of May.

Just saw the "going out of business signs". Went in, most stuff 10%-20% off. Cashier said it was totally out of the blue. No warning what so ever. Started Wednesday.

Boy what a shame. Our local one has 20% sales. Is anyone buying them out?

Our local store has had going out of business signs up for three months. The manager told me last week, that store is now owned by a liquidation company but all of them would not be closing, company is just downsizing.

I was just at the store in our area... an one of the employees told me that camping world is going to take over.... only having the sales to downsize some of the inventory to make room for their own brands to put on the shelve.
It's kinda funny... on one window it has a sign saying "going out of business, everything must go" an the other window has a " now hiring... apply inside" sign.

Gander Mt.

Back in the late 60's, early 70's we had Erickson stores then they were bought out by Holiday then a local favorite outdoors store by the name of Bergers Brothers merged w/ them. shortly after that Gander Mt.. bought them out. today there are so many outdoors sporting goods stores that it's hard to make a profit! Mill's Fleet farm is my favorite store here as it's the Man's Mall but I did spend some money over the yrs. at Gander Mt., also

Well the article says (read below)

Those signs are on all 162 stores. The liquidator put up the signs," said Jess Myers, a spokesman for St. Paul, Minn.-based Gander Mountain. "The owner announced that 61 will stay open despite what the signs say. He wants to keep about 70 of them."

I was in the one in roanoke va yesterday. Was told by a manager that they are selling everything at a discount, because all merchandise was bought by a liquidation company. However the store will restock afterwards and stay open as Gander Mountain. What kind of sense does that make?
