A word of Advice

If you are planning on buying a good started dog, or a broke dog, go hunting with it if at all possible. If you can't go hunting, make sure you work out an agreement...JUST IN CASE!!!! I have met some great guys; as nice as you would want to meet, but when they get your money, they change!!!
They are not going to make it right.......period!!! Save yourself some time, and trouble by hunting the dog, or working out an agreement before the fact!!!!

your woods

I have tied dogs where they are and then bring them home and they can't handle the conditions where I hunt. and I have tried some grand nites. most people will not let you try the dog and what I am learning is that those dogs definitely want make and the owner knows it. it has cost me about 5000 dollars so far in the last 2 years and I still don't have a coon dog that is straight.

So sorry!!!! This has not happened to me in a while, but it has happened.

I don't know if some people do not know what a coon dog is, or if they are just out right liars!!!! Either way, it's not good. If I sell a dog (and I don't sell many) I realize that a dog is a dog, has a mind of it's own, and is capable of anything. I can't help what a dog does, but I can control what I do. If I do sell a dog, I want to buyer to be happy with it. If I buy a dog, I want to be happy with it, and want to treat others the way I want to be treated.
