T- 5 ?

I'm using a t-5 with my 320 I hunted approximately 25 times and then One night the light was blinking almost white or pale yellow instead of green. I went back to the dealer and he said probably needs update but couldn't get it to hook up. I sent back to Garmin and they sent a new collar I charged it and went hunting after a hour it was doing the same thing I came in and charged it full and turned it on and left it run all night in the floor next morning light is still green recharged it and went hunting that night 20 minutes the collar is doing same thing I checked handheld its picking up and still showing full charge on the collar so I hunted 3 more hours and when took dog off the last tree it's blinking green again. Bruce or anybody got any answers

.

You wrote the problem pretty clearly but I have a few questions.

On your T5 with the first issue. Was it still tracking?

Do you use your collar lights?

If the collar is working like it should, except the color of the LED is not what you expect, I wouldn't worry about it.

We are talking about a small LED that cost less than a penny and many of them are not true to color and slightly change when warmed up. Also any small voltage change could effect the color of the LED. I personally would learn and go more by the sequence of the flashes as that is what is important and tells you the story of how the collar is working or not working.

I have seen this with hundreds of Light Chargers over the years as some of their LED's get off just a little and can go to a purple color or an orange or amber color.

If your a detail person, I realize this may worry you but if the collar is working I would not worry. If the collar quits working, it has a warranty and should be replaced for free.

.

Louieh5 your so correct. The difference in ambient lighting makes a world of difference. I am lucky, I am color blind and many of these changes I can't see.
