99.9% of the time! Really not many who I enjoy hunting with. I do hunt with others some it's just easier to go alone.

If you are trying to get a nice young dog going the right way by yourself is about the only way. One by one most of my coon hunting buddies have all quit. Not too many of us left around here to hunt with.

I always hunt alone. It would be nice to have someone with whom to share hunting issues with and to go hunting with once in a while. This has been discussed many times and I can say with certainty, most coon hunting is done alone.

In my opinion, if your not hunting solo u dont wanna win. I usually hunt with one other person but we take turns turning dogs loose.

Alone

I hunt alone 99.9% of the time in the last year I have hunted with two people one time each. my dogs are not good enough to hunt with other hounds I would be embarrassed.

.

Kinda go both ways. Most of the time just me and a pup or two. Sometimes with Corey and some friends. Lot of times I will hunt at night and then Corey will take them out in the morning. We just mix it up, but I have done a lot of hunting alone which is very enjoyable to me. Puppies can be aggravating and being my myself tends to allow me to stay calmer the crazier they get. lol I just shake my head and think about how the next night is going to be. I have done it so long that success isn't measure by how many coons you see but if you just survive the hunt. All I need is mud hole in the woods wit a coon close by, to be Happy!

No world beaters here

Im with Bruce, it is a mix up, if im packing a pup like i am now i usually like to be by myself just so i can focus on getting him going. which i am about to start singling my pup out. but at the same time its nice to have someone to chew the fat with while the dog(s) work. Im not all about winning like a lot of people are, i just enjoy going. not that there is anything wrong with that i just enjoy company as well as being solo. However i do not hunt with people if i feel there dogs will show mine bad habits. Nothing against the individual but i will just cut mine by themselves.

I have always liked to hunt my dog by its self, but I also enjoy someone going with me. So in a perfect world I need a hunting buddy that doesn't have a dog.

I ALWAYS hunt alone during the week (3-4 nights) and only one dog at a time. One or two weekends a month I'll get together and hunt with someone else on either Friday or Saturday. I'm guessing 95% of my hunting is done alone with just one dog.

The last year 100% by myself. Heck, I even went to our club buddy hunt, and ended up hunting by myself.

It is sort of funny. I started hunting by myself. Then I hunted with a bunch of friends that we called the Ashley Social Club. Then I hunted with my sons. Now, I have went full circle.

I do probably 98% of time, with one % being with my six year old grand daughter. I wish it was reversed to where she could go the majority of the time, but I realize school has some importance, but what can they teach that papa can't? lol

I suspect what she's learning by being with you as you with hunt with hounds at night, in the woods is more valuable than what she'll learn at school most days. But you're right, school is very important too.

A week ago a young marine called and said the he wanted to hunting with me. We set a date for yesterday. So I called him to confirmed the time and meeting place. He said he'd have to let me know after asking his wife. He never even called me back and still hasn't called.
I'm glad he didn't go last night. My dogs got out of pocket and I didn't get home until midnight.
