Stranger is quick to open normally taking no worse than second strike. He runs track with a bawl mouth and has a good long bawl locate and rolls it over into a hard chop. He likes to get by himself and ends up being split treed a lot. Stranger earned his NITECH degree in 5 hunts and got a win toward GRNITECH when he won a RQE. He also has a little over $200 dollars earned in PKC and was an early round cast winner at the spring Super Stakes in the Sophomore division. He also was this years Reserve Tennessee State Champion in UKC after losing by 25+ in the final 4. All of these achievements were made as a one year old! Stranger turned 2 back in late June and I haven't been pushing him since qualifying him for the world hunt. I plan to grand him this fall after the zones and maybe even hunt him a night or two at the PKC world hunt. He is no where near perfect but seems to always find a way to get a cast win. He is an action packed hound that can fill up a score card in thick coon. Below is his pedigree and list of accomplishments. I will be making him 2017 performance and superstakes sire but will only be breeding him to a few select females until I see how he produces. Stud fee will be by private treaty. Good looking hound and bred up nice. Stranger's sire is just down the road from me 30 miles. Murray Ragan has good hounds and know the English breed probably better than most. He always is sporting a nice hound. Good luck with Stranger in the hunts and the stud pen!

Just curious if you have any pups on the ground, or any up coming litters. I owned the Jackie female, and she was a Coon dog. She was splitting at 6 months old, and take all the pressure you could put in her, nice one bark tree dog, when she hooked it was over. Jackie treed coons, not trees. I'd love to have another Jackie. Thanks for sharing

They are two completely different styles of hounds. Luke was gonna get deep almost every drop no matter the coon population and was always by himself. He was super accurate though when he did get treed. Luke normally took 25 strike. Stranger is quick to open normally taking 100 or 75 strike with any company. He will hunt a woods out and go anywhere from 500-1,000 yards and then come back if not struck in. Stranger moves a good track as fast as any dog I have ever owned. He is action packed and will fill up a score card in a good coon population. However, he is not as accurate as the Luke dog was. Guess you can't have it all lol. But if I was going to a hunt I would much rather have Stranger. He is the nicest young hound I've ever owned.

After lots of thinking I have decided that unless I have a few people that want to breed their females to Stranger, there isn't any need in making him a super stakes sire. Instead I will just pay the $200 fee when I breed Lucy to him. If you are thinking about breeding a female to him let me know soon or he will not be paid up in PKC. I will however be making him a performance sire for 2017.

Stranger picked up some kind of infection at the zones. Monday the right side of his mouth was swelled up pretty bad. Took him to the vet Tuesday and looks like he will be laid up for a couple weeks until all the infection is gone.
