Nt.Ch. Billy's Redemption owned by Mike Mayo is out of Billy and Willow, I own his only brother named Outlaw Hoosier Daddy and Wendell owns their sister Storm. I will be competing with Daddy this year. Storm has a 1st and should have no problem titling.
Don't know of any males out of Billy x Amber cross besides Beyond Billy and Little Red Billy. John Biggert might know.
A really nice one that was littermate to Cherry Bomb and Breeze was owned by Alton Key but got killed before he made it to his first competition hunt.
Breanna's mom Deana was bred to BTK and had 3 pups...I got the male who I named Outlaw Infamous Amos. He made Nt.Ch. fast with 3 first and may have been the best pup I have ever started...but died of an aneurysm at 16 or 17 months old. His sister Outlaw Jesse Jane was really his carbon copy and got hit on the road at about 14 months old.
Miss Piggy was bred to BTK and raised 3 pups and two were males. Tim and Jesse Brewin have one...was doing good last I heard but they are not yet 2 ...can't remember who has the other one.
Btk was bred to Moonlight KY Kate and that's the cross Mac is from. I really don't know how many were in that litter or how many are still alive or if any were males.
So since 2010 I have bred 6 females using BTK semen from 1993. All 6 females were well known Grand Nite females. A couple litters were small as several females were older or had trouble raising all their pups. I'd say just over half the pups are still alive and they have added 8 titled offspring to BTK's reproducer record and raised him on the historical list from 5th place to 2nd. Billy was born 26 years ago in April of 91' so he will be dropping off the list in a few months...but he has several pups that have wins and just need a few points to title and I still have frozen semen stored to breed a few more top quality titled proven reproducing females...so he isn't done yet. Every dog I have in my kennel has BTK in their pedigree...multiple times. He has been the foundation of my breeding program since I started in redbones and is found in a high percentage of pedigrees attached to most of the redbones winning in competition these days. Of course he is just one of many...but I feel he was an important part of the record behind the competition side of the redbone breed. Every Moonlight redbone goes back to him, and probably 75% of Dogs with Outlaw in front of their name go back to him, his brothers or his mother Outlaw Jesse.
Alton, Theresa and Lisa Key, Danny Biggert, myself and many others who have promoted this line are very grateful to everyone who has tried an Outlaw or Moonlight Outlaw bred dog in the past and those who still hunt this blood today. Without hunters who believe in you, your breeding program and the dogs it produces...we could not have done what we have for over a quarter century now. And none of what we have done would have been possible without those who came before us and all the hard work they did to lay the groundwork for us to pick up the ball and run with it. I really hope to see the Outlaw line winning for many more years and be strengthened and improved with out crosses to other competition lines. The six females below are the ones that were bred to BTK between 2010 and 2015...in order
Dual Grand Ch. Nighty Nite Amber
Dual Grand Ch. Moonlight Deana
Grand Nite Champion KY Moonlight Breanna
Grand Nite Champion KY Moonlight Kate
Dual Grand Champion River Ridge Red Willow
Grand Nite Champion Miss Piggy
BTK was never bred the way he should have been...which would have been selectively. I had to sell him in 95 at 4 years old so I could raise my son and finish an apprenticeship. The man who bought him, good as he was at promoting him and supporting the breed...just bred way too many females that should never have been used in any program. Such was the case for most stud dogs 20 or more years ago. This gives Billy a lower % on his reproducer record than would otherwise have been the case. With six crosses using frozen semen and 5 of those old enough to be competition hunted....all five have produced titled dogs...and several more how have wins and will title. Of those five litters there are 3 different Grand Nite pups who have won PKC Redbone Days...twice! Southern Redbone Days...Twice! The AKC Ladies World Championship, and been Hi Opposite Sex at National Redbone Days, and world Champion redbone at AKC and ACHA World hunts.
I have tried to show that if breeders place as much emphasis on the quality of their competition female redbones as they do when selecting a stud...we can turn out a higher % of big winning competition dogs.
Like I said...I still have some semen left on Billy that I would be Happy to use on the right Proven Grand Nite Champion female....if anyone out there is interested. I will pay for the breeding at Nevergone and help with registration etc....but it has to be the right kind. Maybe the best pups out of BTK have not even been born yet
