Headlamps

Last time I hunted was 10-12 years ago and I’m just finally getting back into it as an adult. But now I don’t know what products are good and what was ain’t. I’ve already ordered a dog box from Evans. And I’m getting the alpha 100 from everything I’ve ever read. But now I can’t figure out what headlamp I want. What’s good and what’s bad? They all seem the same to me.

Weight is a very Important if you are going with a cap light..More so in the summer than ever..Check out the mini smoker or a big dog Genesis for enough light to shine trees and way more than adequate amount of color to find a coon eyes if he will peek!

I’ll tell you that the Boss magnum is plenty of light , if there’s a coon you’ll find it. And the price you can’t beat. But I’m different than most I have more money in my dog then in my light and dog box. Just call Bruce Conkey at Conkeys Outdoors he will steer you right . The man is as honest as the day is long . Some of my buddies have the Boss Hotspot and it’s the cats meow. It’s got a neat laser pointer on it to actually point out a coon for your buddies that seem to go blind lol. Talk to Bruce or Corey they will take care of you even after you spend your hard earned money

You wont go wrong with any of these.

I'd suggest trying a cap light vs a belt light before you buy..

I personally cannot stand a cap light.. I jumped on that band wagon and it didn't take me long to get off..

In hot weather they are even worse in my opinion - and we all know what that is worth!!

I have a 15 year old bright eyes that is newly refurbished and a brand new Sunspot Inferno (both belt lights)..

The sunspot is insanely bright.
