Strangest thing you've ever heard coming out of a dogs stomach

I just got a call back from my vet. She had to do a surgery on my one dog. She thought she had a twisted stomach but when she got in there she found an entire corn cob! I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience with this. I've heard of dogs swallowing strings, small sticks, and plastic before but never something this big.

My girlfriend removed a pacifier from one and some Victoria's secret lace panties the week before Christmas on a different dog. The panties had been in the dog for an estimated 5 weeks.
