Post Election

I voted for Trump with some reservations all the way up to and including when I was alone in the voting booth.

Now that it's over I'm happy with the complete results and have resolved to start over with the man with a 100% clean slate.

I will not judge him on his past but only judge him from here forward. I have prayed for him and his administration for wisdom and discernment numerous times already and will continue to do so. They're going to need it. This country now has monumental difficulties to deal with, both at home and abroad. It will take us all to make it work but it starts at the top with who this country elected.

Cabinet member picks are extremely important, the new Supreme Court pick is monumental. We are not replacing Ruth Bader Ginsberg, we are replacing Anthony Scalia. I'm depending on him nominating a Mike Lee or Ted Cruz type to replace Scalia, not a moderate like John Roberts who abandoned us twice when we needed him most.

Some might mock this but I feel God has granted us mercy instead of vengeance. We got 1 chance to hopefully turn some things around. I'm praying we get it right.

Good post.. my thoughts exactly. With the only exception: I didn't have to think twice going in the voting both, didn't have any reservations. I knew from the time Killary was nominated, I was voting for whoever the Republicans nominated.

Hillary was never an option. My reservations were trusting the man, but like I said that's in the past. Clean slate from here forward. I was very happy with the results from top to bottom. We need them all. Trump would've never been able to proceed with much of his agenda with Democrats controlling the Senate.

Republicans now control the Executive and Legislative branches of government and will soon control the Judicial branch. The country and the world will be watching. I hope we proceed with what is right and wise.

Post election ... The dems are scratching their heads trying to figure out what happened. They are now trying to figure out why middle America working class didn't vote for them. The thought that what was once their base leaving because of their progressive agenda still hasn't crossed their minds. They are leaning on Burnie for answers instead of getting out of the cities and talking with people about what went wrong. He is recommending putting progressive muslim as head of the DNC. Of course there is the hillary side of it that her corruption is more than most can tolerate and the Burnie aspect that became the Never Hillary but the root of the problem lies in that what was once the basis for the party were working class poor to middle America do not agree with their agenda. They didn't want to see their white house light up in a rainbow, they do not want to see their country over taken by immigrants illegal or legal h1b holders, they respect 1st amendment rights of all citizens, do not wish to see their 2nd amendment rights infringed upon, their hard earned tax dollars going to those that are looking for a hand out instead of a hand up and they see the inner city lawlessness as disrespect for the America they love. They are fed up with elitist idea of bringing America to her knees for the sake of globalism and the coddling of the minority has made the working feel like the minority and they are fed up. All you that were once part their loyal voting base you didn't leave them they left you, just like our Republican party left us to compromise with them. We tea party conservatives welcome you! It is now time we all hold their feet to the fire they've been off track for a while our Trump train has derailed them and it's time we put them back on the right track.

Good point of view Well Started...I myself had no resv. other than I thought Trump was a bit of a blowhard douche bag. I had all but given up on Glen Beck going on and on what a terrible guy he was. Like this dude is living in the 1700's. Drove me nuts. The day after on his show he said the same thing as you...lets give him the benefit of doubt and start with a clean slate and as long as he dont harm your principals what the heck. Maybe he had no choice but to say that not sure, but I wish more liberals would do the same.

We are very similar in our thought process. Thank you for caring about the future of this great nation.

I didn't say he needed to nominate Ted Cruz. I'm not even expecting that although he would be a great pick. I said he needs to nominate a Mike Lee or Ted Cruz type. He's gonna be replacing Scalia, the more conservative the better.

A good choice would be Thomas Lee, Mike Lee's brother. Look him up .

I heard him mentioned yesterday. I don't know anything about him but he was getting high praise.
