Alpha , zooms out on its own will be at 250 yds and zooms out to 2 mile on its own it short order liked the unit but really aggravating at the moment make me want to sell it any help would appreciated

It is just a setting.
Go to MAP
Setup Dogs
Turn Zoom Off

You can also should go to map
setup maps
Turn zoom Off
