Strange hunt.

Standing at the tree last night and I'm shining it. I had to step back a little to see the top and the hounds are just getting busy. To set the stage about 5-6 months ago my hound was treeing buy himself and I figure he was run off the tree buy some coyotes. Its taken him this long to start treein and going good on huntin again. Well last night as I'm shining I seen a flash come from my side towards the tree. Scared the crap out of me. It went directly towards my hound. It was a huge owl!!! Went straight at my hound. It didn't hit him but swooped down on top of him. Unreal!!! The only thing I can think of would be I had hit my squaller a couple times and it was close by. Didn't need that. On a better note, the coon was found and given. He did stop treeing but maybe it won't hurt him.

Funny you mention this. I was deer hunting a few nights ago and I seen a huge owl land in a tree across from me. It kept starring at me and finally it seen a squirrel messing around and it tried to snatch it. Kinda gave me a uneasy feeling.

Mr. Carder

Maybe it was the mothman. If you don't know what I am referring to, maybe Carson can shed some light on it for you.

Carson and I grew up only about 45 minutes to 1 hour from where that danged monster hung out.

Yes. I'd say it was the moth man. They are kin to bigfoot. I'd have shot it. Can't be to careful nowdays.

I was sitting in a deer stand bow hunting years ago, with camo on everything except three fingers on my draw hand. A hawk was sitting 30-40 yards away watching me for half an hour. Then he swooped in and tried to "catch" my uncovered fingers sitting on my right thigh. Nearly knocked me out of my tree...

Vultures

Not half as scary as coming around the bend of a river and floating under 20 vultures sitting in a tree and looking down at u like the dinner bell had rang
