Well, as I now have two dogs that will need to be housed here at home. I figured i wanted to put up a cheap, easy, functional set of kennels here at the house to compliment the single kennel I have now.

Functional, check. Easy, (relatively) check. Cheap - absolutely not!!!

144 12" patio blocks $216
4 Tarter heavy duty dog kennel panels $430ish
1 Double door front kennel heavy duty panel $250ish
2 Dogloo type houses $230ish

$1200 bucks and about 7 hours of labor x 2 (me and the wife, she's a trooper!!) Holy cow, nothing is cheap anymore except my time!!

The kennels turned out pretty good, think the only change I will make to them is to attach the houses to the outside of the kennel to provide a bit more space for the hound.

Now to find a hound worth $600 bucks to keep in them!!

If you have not done it, go to a Menards or like that. Get a sand mortar mix spread it around and dampen it. Learned from mistakes. Looks Great

And whats your plan for dog doors for winter time? I seen they make doors now to go on those style of dog pens

I am contemplating a lean to off the back of the building. The single kennel I have now we put a shade up in the summer time and deal with the snow.

Hoosierman, my wife is passionate about her yard. Thanks for the comment, she will like that.
