Bob Polston

There was a fella around me that was named Bob Polston. He hunted a dog called Frog Dog. He had it wrote all down the side of his truck in big stick on letters. It said "I HUNT FROG DOG", in uneven letters. I was young and I thought he must have a great one! I would walk through his yard and pet all his hounds and chat with him on my paper route. He'd hunt in the river bottoms early mornings and be wearing tennis shoes. Not sure if he's passed away now or not.

I couldn't remember his name. Anyone ever hunt with the dog?

Remembering

I've thought a little after I posted. As I got older there were times I would take his dogs back to him after I found them running down the gravel in the bottoms. Seems he would usually turn loose in the morning. I was thinking,man...what a Garmin would have done for him. Think about all the hours and gas saved driving around listening and looking for hounds that little gadget has saved us. It wasn't available at the time, and I don't know if he would have used one anyway.
