Need help/advice PLEASE
I have a 19 month old smokey river bred female I need some advice on please. This dog has plenty of drive and energy and is coon crazy. She will strike and can work a track fairly well but wont tree. I've been running her with another dog that is very accurate and as of late she has started treeing a little but not hard and will still come off the tree and try to find a track but always stays close or at least circles back. I've tried to single her out a few times and she goes hunting but again won't tree. It's like she would rather run a track than tree. I even marked where she stopped barking one night walked in to the area she was milling around shined a tree that she smelled up (but didn't bark) and there sat a coon. I'm just at a loss on how to proceed, she's had coons shot out to her and knows when I get there that may happen so she stays close to me and just looks up at the tree. She's a beautiful hound with a good loud mouth and all the characteristics a guy could want so I hate to give up on her if this is something that will come or if someone on here could help me correct a mistake that maybe I'm making. I would appreciate any helpful advice.
