Ontario Canada coonhunters

Myself and a couple of friends have been talking about trying to make a trip up there next season. We already have a trip planned somewhere for this year. I have been trying to research some of the regulations. This is something I was trying to understand. It might seem like a strange question. Can a non resident hunt coon at night with a dog? Also, what kind of license and permits would we need to purchase to do this. I had called the ministry of natural resources, but they had already closed for the evening. Obviously we would probably would to stay in the southern end of the Provence. Are there any certain areas that would be better to go to? I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes on. Thanks

Used to be we needed a nighttime coon license permit to hunt coon at night and they were not available to non residents so they couldn't legally hunt here, but a few years ago that changed to us only needing a small game license and dog license, both of which is available to non residents, so as far as I know you should be fine to hunt now.

Guns on the other hand are a big Hassel to cross the border with, so if you plan on killing I suggest getting with a local and borrowing a gun.
