Stud dogs and crosses

Why is it that every stud puts the same thing into pups and every cross makes the perfect coon dog according to the owner of the stud or people making the cross?

Because we can all pretty much agree in what we want, but we don't all agree about what we actually have

That's true. It makes it hard to find a pup when you can't possibly hunt with both dogs in the cross.

That's what I'm gonna start doing but I've had bad luck here lately with dogs. I had an ugly stick pup that was doing amazing so I sold my old dog so I could spend all my time with the ugly dog. 2 weeks later he died. So I'm in the process of starting from nothing. I'm interested in eglis line, albert line, and mccoins line. Just don't know which way to go.lol

Stud dogs and crosses

I bought a pup from Donnie Egli 15 months ago, without an old dog to train her.. All I had to do was take her to the woods and she started hunting at about 10 months old...My biggest problem is teacher what not to hunt...Egli's Ragin Black Skipper by Fraziers Judy cross.. line breeding on the Laffons Super Sting *Laffons Sugar Cookie Cross.. Pedigree shows 3 different hounds from this same cross...
