hard day

Just lost my 3.5 year old cur Lilly yesterday, She had tumors in her lungs. She was 3/4 Kemmer (Chris Boones) stock. 1/4 Ledbetter, we raised her out of our breeding. We killed 175 squirrels, several coon, she treed a bear on an afternoon squirrel hunt, and had a bobcat under her belt last year. Small dog, solid brindle, since she was mine, Ill tell you she was gamey, what she was ,was trashy. LOL I truly believe the only things in the woods safe were chipmunks and deer, both of which she loved as a pup. Ive been ready to kill her over Skunks, possums, chickens, neighbors house cat. Now shes gone and we are lost, been through it lots of times, never gets any easier. Always the good ones, she belonged to my son. This puts me down to one dog, her mother. I have a young pup, and nothing else to hunt this fall. We are interested in a finished dog or something well started. We pleasure hunt, and hunt a lot. This is not a cry out for a discount or a gift, rather a search for a good solid squirrel dog or prospect. Lilly was far from perfect, I have owned better squirrel dogs, but she had no quit in her, and when you took her to the woods, you would be looking up quickly and didn't miss much. I would prefer a smaller built dog and at least part kemmer. With that being said, I would take a 50lb fiest if it was a true pleasure dog and game getter. LOL We loved her, gone but not forgotten.

I think Chris has some pups now. Have you called him and asked him if he knew of any any well started dogs?
