This forum, much like Facebook, is hardly worth the trouble giving a public opinion, even when asked.

If they would have been running their dogs instead of their mouths they wouldn't be in the situation they are! I will agree it was good entertainment but some of those posts got pretty the lengthy and me being the slow reader I am, I was late to work this morning! 😂😀🤓

too.

Too old for drama
Too wise to take the bait
Too tired to type that long
Too busy to get involved
Too late at night to watch it all
Too bad it went so far
Two different opinions
Two too much I guess.
Too much fun, what a mess.

Ya hilarious.......like anyone posting about the drama is any better than the people who were banned . Pretty sure people just don't know how to leave well enough alone and have to keep stirring the pot . I am losing so much respect for the redbone people who I thought were such class acts.

Does anyone remember anything that was actually posted other than the fact that they were trash talking and calling each other names. Can the rest of us learn anything from this?
Were they posting for the general message board to read or were they directing their remarks at each other only? I mean there is a PM function that you can use if you just want to tell somebody privately. If you post something on the general message forum then you must be doing it for the enlightenment or entertainment of everyone.
And when you post negative comments about someone else or their dog, are you saying something about them or yourself. Will people remember what you posted or just the fact that you posted negative comments?

For the record if you haven't hunted in a comp hunt with a man to see how he conducts him self don't pass judge ment or go by hear say of how he conducts him self in a hunt

Last year at red days I was on two cast on Thursday and Friday nights both had mr Maxie in the cast thur I was a handler was getting my butt handed to me and with Drew but stayed with the cast no issues zero other than a graw by a dog at the edge of the woods 80 yards from the cast first 10 seconds of the hunt don't know who it was and never another issue
As I was helping with entrees fri there was talk of putting a non hunting judge on Shane's cast fri night because they got reports from several people that Shane was being a total jerk and trying to pull things on the cast thur night it didn't happen but several people wanted it to appear that it did
Fri night a young boy came to Shane and asked if he could go along on his cast Shane told the boy he could this boys grand father drew Shane the night before and wanted him to see Mac and Shane in action this man did not know Shane from adam till Friday night
I switched handlers on my dog and offered to walk with the boy so Shane didn't have him to worry about if the boy couldn't keep up with the cast
Me and the boy only walked to one tree but as far as I know there wasn't any issues with Shane but after the hunt a cast member on the cast told Shane you would of won the cast if you would of voted with me on that last drop Shane said that wouldn't of been right
Maybe somthing happen when I wasn't with the cast every thing seemed fine at the truck after the hunt was over
Sat I'm helping with entrees same thing several complaints of how Shane conducted him self on Friday night in the hunt from the same people telling how horrible he acted on the cast thur trying to win
So Don't just assume the worst till you draw out with the man
A week or so later I got a pm from a man that was not a big fan of Shane till he was on his cast and said he is nothing like people make him out to be I have changed my thinking of Shane

The man has my respect for sticking up for him self when people try to paint a false pic of the man the man has some fults but cheating isn't one of them
I even did some of my own research thought maybe I was getting the wool pulled over my eyes I even talked to ukc on this and it's false the acuations are from redbone people that don't even hunt in the hunts go figure

Good morning

Richard, if someone slanders you on a PUBLIC forum for all to see, would you personally take it then to a PM? Yea right, you've never been short on words my friend, and I like that about you and anyone similar. Let it be told, let's hear both sides if someone wants to bring it this board. But stick to facts, first hand facts.

And if someone wants a short history of why I'm currently hunting Moonlight/outlaw dogs I'm more than available to talk and stand behind the DOGS I've seen first hand AND the men/women involved closest with that line that I have dealt with, again, first hand.

But I'd rather just hunt, I'm not a promoter and don't wanna be, but I'm a great judge of a dog and a persons character based on first hand knowledge.

This just struck me, but we had a local coon huntin guy here once, I had never met him. But a man I hunted with regular ALWAYS told this worn out story about that fella which was the basis for why he couldn't stand him, it was really a silly instance. I never really took it to the bank, but did get sick of the story. So one day, by chance, I ran into that other fella in the hunting store. I said to myself, heck he seems fine and we started hunting some. Maybe I took a risk, but I was going to find out for myself. I never heard him say a cross word, and after a few dozen nights in the truck and the woods, a man ain't got much he wants to say that he won't say. And now today, well he quit coon hunting but remains a really good friend of mine who has been an honest gentleman in every aspect of his life.

So be careful what you believe. It could be a safe warning, yes, but don't take it for fact.

Good post Mark. Are you saying that we shouldn't be so quick to judge another person or dog that we don't know ourself? A person or a dog's reputation is a funny thing.
You can tell people something good or bad about someone else or their dog and they will believe you. But if someone tells us something good about themselves or their dog, we won't believe them. I mean a person has to "show" us what they or their dog is like before we will believe it. But we will believe third or fourth party hearsay accounts from someone else.
Everyone automatically believes that a person has ulterior motives or their judgement is clouded when they talk about themselves or their dog. But they don't automatically think that a person has ulterior motives or their judgement is clouded when they talk about someone else or their dog.
And I am not just talking about the Shane Affair.

Adam, people slander me on the message forum all of the time. "Never been short on words" , just what does that mean? It doesn't bother me. I guess that when they are right it isn't actually slander. I will have to look up the definition of slander. My reputation is so bad that it cant really hurt it any more.
And I am not criticizing, defending or judging any of the participants in what happened. I am just stating my own observations. As Adam said, I guess that I do that a lot.

Just maybe people get tired of the Book long post on multiple threads badgering and demeaning them or totally hijacking there post cause they don't agree with certain people (the holiness of redbones). Or making jabs at there dogs or at them personally indiscreetly. there were references made about certain cast from people that weren't even on the cast if you don't have first hand knowledge keep quite. Some people hunt there butts off raise there own to try and win and improve there dogs others buy finished dogs pay people to hunt them and want the glory. As far as Moonshine we have never said it ain't Gamy will he tree a possum, cat and ran a deer Hell ya!!! But who cares. He has won allover the country beating some of the best out there and also getting beat by some of the best. An average dog can be win at your local hunts. It takes a special one to win at other KC'S and upper level in UKC and there are a few in the redbone breed that can do that. I really don't care what you do with your breeding program how you train your dogs who handles your dogs but don't try and push your agenda down others throats cause some of us don't give a crap.

It's differences of opinion, and the guy asked for opinions as I clearly recall.

And more than 1 person gave opinions, that I can clearly recall as well.

Oh well, here goes another deleted thread.
