You can get some good ones but few cheap good ones.
have had hearing aids since 1985.
first one was miracle ear.. were not a bit better than the next ones I got from Mid-America hearing center at Mt Vernon MO..
then the next were Electone -- some better but still not great
Belltone--- you pay for a lot of clear blue sky. advertising fee, franchise fees etc. there is maybe 6 different manufacturers that make the components that all of the companys use.
Right now I have Wi-Dex aids and they are digital and programable.... some of the bells and whistles that can be purchased with them make them a bit easier to live with----- they have a device that plugs into the TV that lets me hear that "stuff" as good as I used too! But once it is off they still leave a bit to be desired. there is a device that hangs around my neck on a lanyard that is a bluetooth device that is especially great for phone calls.
the whole set up was about $5000.
NOT cheap by any means!
got any questions send me a PM
