DC50 antenna replacement

After troubleshooting my DC50 on my own before coming to the conclusion that it was inoperable, I noticed that the antenna looks to be a bear to replace. Anyone ever change the antenna on a DC50?

I searched YouTube for a video on changing a DC50 antenna, but had no luck.

.

Changed many of them. There a plate you take off on bottom. Not the whole bottom just the half plate. Then one screw removes the antenna. Make sure the connection point is clean as they get corroded.

Is the t5 the same way? Would you happen to have any pics? My t5 is starting to lose signal every so often, at distances that it shouldn't. I think the connection just needs cleaned. I've done it on DC 40 but not a t5.

All the TT collars are the same. Turn it over and take out the screws on the plate and then remove the plate. You see the antenna connection. Unscrew the antenna and clean the connection or replace antenna. Your not going near any electronic components that can mess things up. Just remove a cover plate and the antenna.
