Prayers for our Nugget please.
He's experiencing nervous system failure, complete loss of use in his limbs, dazed. We're doing everything we can but he's not responding to anything. Prayers are all we can ask for at this point.

Coonhound Paralysis or Nervous System Failure are the two main suspects right now. CP makes a little more sense, the Leopard Days RQE he helped catch and kill a coon on the ground, that was exactly 14 days ago, yesterday. But the only real symptom of that is the obvious paralysis. His mental state has cleared up tremendously, he's still a little scared but I mean I would be too. Eyes aren't cloudy, he isn't dazed anymore.
I got him to sit up a little today, yesterday he would just topple over but today he was able to sit up for about 30 seconds before he started falling over. He can feel/move his legs, he just can't get any coordination and has absolutely no strength in them. His muscle tone is completely gone, two days ago he was practically a body builder and today he looks like someone's couch dog.
He did finally drink on his own this morning. Hell hath no fury like Nugget when he sees me coming with a syringe of Pedialyte! If he fights this like he will that syringe, he'll be back in the woods tomorrow! Lol. Eating his chicken like its going out of style, has his appetite back. He went to the bathroom today which made me feel tremendously better.
No toxins, poisin, no tick borne disease, bloot tests have no answers. No slipped discs, no fractures. Its like his legs just decided they didn't want to work anymore. He tries to get up sometimes and can get his legs under him, he just can't get them to cooperate. All 4 legs just do their own thing and he can't will them to synchronize.

Try making a sling to put him in for an hour or 2 a day...hang it from a tree or swing set or something so it will hold his body and let his legs hang free...we had 1 30 years ago that came out of CP after about a month with lil side affects....

Saw her post and she said he wiggled half way off hi bed and when she pinched his toes she finally felt a little muscle jerk.

The past two evenings, I could've sworn I felt a little spasm/flinch when I pinched his toes. But it was so faint it was one of those 'did it happen or did my imagination get carried away' things. Then yesterday when I got home, he'd managed to wiggle himself to where he was half laying off his bed. Uncomfortable I'm sure but he looked proud of himself.
Tonight when I was feeding him I did the routine leg massage/workout and when I finished, I did the standard toe pinch. But this time he jerked his foot out of my hand! I wasn't sure if it was me or him and he just looked at me kinda like 'was that me or you?' So I did it again and this time slightly lifted and pulled back his leg! I knew for sure it was him because he looked at me with this priceless expression of realization and then started doing his howl/tail wag thing. He did it one more time, not as strong but still did it, before he was finally out of energy. For the first time in fourteen days we finally have a sure sign of improvement and while we're far from out of the woods it was the most welcomed sight ever!
But my stubborn mule of a dog, bless him, has spent almost the whole night trying to do it again while he lays and howls and thumps everything with his tail. I know it used up all his energy but you can't tell him that. His voice is starting to come back too, instead of this drawn out high pitched squeal its starting to sound more like a coonhound again! Dad is staying home with him this weekend while I'm at NC State and I can already feel my nervous dog mama side kicking in. He's as much Dads dog as he is mine and I already have written feeding/care instructions written out, lol!

We're a long way from recovered but we are (I believe) out of the woods!
He can hold it on his own for a good 10-15 seconds when I stand him up and if I hold him where he only has half of his weight on his feet, he can take a few steps. He can scoot from here to kingdom come, he'll get his back legs under him - push with his back legs and pull with his front and there's no telling where you'll find him next. My favorite was him crossing into our billy goat's territory and getting headbutted on the rear a few times before the Calvary arrived! He didn't quite know what to make of that. Otherwise, he pulls himself down the bank towards the woods, all around the yard, thankfully he's quit pulling himself over the side of the porch like a goober. He's just a shadow of the dog he was two months ago physically, but he's actually put on a few pounds since his darkest days and is starting to build a little muscle back. He's bound and determined to overcome this, it's slow but we're seeing daily improvement.

Coonhound Paralysis is the best it could be narrowed down to. He didn't fit it to a T but given everything, we're all pretty positive that's what it had to be.
That said, unfortunately it can take up to 3 months to walk and up to a year before full recovery, if they fully recover at all. I'll take it though, he's already come so far from the days he couldn't even lift his head.

Nugget has been one surprise after another these entire two years I've had him.
While he was still down with and just starting to crawl around, it would kill him to lay there and watch as I worked with the other dogs. He would whine, howl, or carry on every time I'd put one on the bench. Laying there unable to use his legs but watching everyone get to do what was once a part of his normal routine was getting tough on him. Even when he finally got his legs under him, he just couldn't hold himself up long, let alone enough to really get on the bench. So I made a deal with him and told him that when he could jump up on the bench completely by himself, I would take him to one more show. I know he didn't understand a word I said, but in his own way it seemed like he understood completely. 22 days after he started walking on his own, he jumped onto the bench with no help. He just popped right up there and looked at me like "I don't know why you're surprised, I told you I could do it." So I came in and looked at the dry erase board we have all our dog events lined up on and PlottFest was that coming weekend. I was sick, somehow I picked up a cold and was right in the middle of it so I wasn't sure I even wanted to go period, let alone take my little paralysis dog to such a big event. But naturally with the assistance of friends, family, and a stubborn Leopard Hound, I was convinced I should go ahead and make the trip. I didn't care how it would go, Nugget didn't have to win or put on a big show; I was doing it for him and he was doing it to prove his "I'm not totally laid down yet" point.
And right there on the bench he finished to GRCH last year on, 28 days after he took his first post-paralysis steps, he went all the way to be awarded 2016 PlottFest Overall Grand Champion Male.
I don't really have much to say about that because I'm still stunned speechless!

Give him colloidal silver and a half a cup of plain yogurt every day. All of his problems will be gone in a short period of time. Order the colloidal silver on line and get the good stuff. Follow the directions for human dosage. There isn't a virus that silver can't kill and the silver won't do a single thing that isn't healthful. The yogurt is just to keep his digestion going well because the silver kills some of the helpful bacteria in the gut. The yogurt replaces it.

This may sound like a bunch of voo-doo but it better than you can imagine.
