Let me say that I'm getting this info second hand but its coming from a very reliable source. I can understand why Delcamp may still be in shock and unable to speak.(first time ever) Thus I feel obligated to pass this info along to those that are wondering why he hasnt called.

Big John had been ducking and dodgeing his employer for many moons but alas they finaly tricked him into answering their phone call and Back to work he had to go.

The very first day back they had him working a backhoe, a job he normaly could do in his sleep, but the months of leisure living had him a bit rusty and he was in full concentration when all of a sudden a gunshot went off at a very close range and Big John realizes hes not only been shot at, but hit.

Well instinct and adrenaline kick in and he knows he needs cover fast. He dives off the backhoe and belly crawls(can you imagine that) to safety, but can already feel the blood running down his leg into his boot.

As hes laying there wondering how much time he has left and wishing a priest was there to administer last rights and
such, his foreman and coworkers come running to see what the fuss is all about.

He tells them in as loud a voice as he could whisper that hed been shot and was bleeding out.
They started peeling off clothes and discovered that the blood running into his boot was brown in color and they couldn't find an extra hole in him anywhere.
They did however notice that there was smoke rolling out of what was left of his pants pocket and upon further interrogation and investigating discovered a few loose .22 shells and a couple garmin batteries left in the partial pocket. Somehow the combination had set off a shell in his pocket.
Other than ruining a good pair of britches , Big John came out of it unscathed, but is now carrying his shells in one pocket and batteries in another.
