How to score this ?

Two dog cast. Dog A and Dog B are struck in. They trail out of large briar thicket. They are headed back from circling rabbit into a small briar patch. A rabbit comes out of one side of briar patch another comes out of the opposite side. Both lines are called. Dog A comes out first and crosses the first called line. Just a few seconds later Dog B comes out on the second line called and crosses called line. This all happens in a very short period of time. No way of knowing which is the rabbit they trailed into briar patch or time to call a split track. What is the proper way to score this and how are the dogs handled. I have seen this happen several times but never scored and dogs handled the same way twice. Seems every time a split track occurs at a trial there is always confusion on how it was scored. THANKS in advance.

Score

I. Believe. Your. Score. The. Strike. As. Positions. Called. And. A first.on. line. For. Each. Dog. Dont. Necessarily. Have. To. Call. A. Split. If. A. Split. Occurs. To. Score. Them. Each. On. A. Line. By. Themselves.
Ex....dog a . 100: 100.
Dog b. 75. 100

Bob is right, Both dogs are scored a first line of 100 points each. Dog A is to be caught and restruck on Dog B's track in next available position.
REMEMBER - A split track does not have to be declared. It is a split when it is obvious hounds are split.
As in your scenario a judge could not determine hounds were split prior to scoring. It was obvious they were split when each came out on there own rabbit.
