RIP : Lester's Country Style Ruby

Had to have Ruby put down today. Her health had been failing for sometime and just thought it was the right time.

Last year just before turning 11 she gave birth to 5 healthy pups, most of those pups are running and treeing now.

She would have been 12 this May.

Ruby has been one of my BEST reproducing females EVER! She will be missed for sure. She has left us with several nice hounds.

Sorry to hear that Dennis but It is nice to hear that you have some nice pups on the ground out of her so her legacy can live on through those pups. Some times we're not that fortunate to get pups out of a dog we like before they're taken.

Sorry for your loss HOBO. I think some people try to sell dogs before they get old so they don't have to deal with the old age part but I always felt like if they were good enough to keep me happy then I should return the favor and take care of them when they could no longer hunt. Having to deal with losing them is tough though. Sounds like she was a good one.

Sorry to hear this Hobo. I know she put some really nice hounds on the ground that many folks have enjoyed hunting.

There is a lot of truth to the statement "The good ones die too young and the others live forever!".

Sorry to hear the news about Ruby Dennis.

I sold my Swamp Witch pup out of Ruby to the best two trainers in our area a couple of twin that hunt ever night two months ago for $700.00 waited until he got his tax returns last week and when he came to pay me he said Witch was doing real good.
He said she got first strike on a lion or cougar that they treed the night before Travis and Timmy Murrill look on face book and you can see her doing her thing
Should have made a Lion dog out of her I guess LOL.
