Garmin question.

Im sick and tired of going to look at the map and its zoomed out like I really want to see what the shape of the entire united states is and I have to zoom ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way in to see what I wanna look at. I have checked every single setting I can check and even made sure the zoom feature looks right. What can I do ?

.

You have two zoom features. One is under dog setup and the other is under map setup. Just turn them off and problem solved.

ARE U USING THE ASTRO

If so my hunting buddy has the same trouble, man is that a mess every time he looks at his it is the same as what you are going through. Now for me I am still using the 220 not a bit of trouble. With all he is going through with his I know I will stay with what I got. Way to many gadgets for me just put on 2 collars you know the Tritronics and Garmin and go hunting.

.

These are just normal settings the Garmin have and it takes less than two minutes, probably one to change both settings so it does not zoom. There is no problem with the ALPHA it just has a couple different setting which some like and some don't.

Here is how to stop your map from auto zooming.

Select MAP then MENU. Top two things on the list should be
SETUP MAP and DOGS SETUP
Select SETUP MAP and scroll down to ADVANCED and select that. Then select and turn off the AUTO ZOOM

Select Map the Menu again. Select DOGS SETUP and select and turn off ZOOM MAP TO DOGS.
