Question for our neighborhood vet, Dr. Allen Hallada .

This Zika Virus deal looks to be spreading a little bit. Not worried about me, but is there any risk of our hounds catching it?
What's the best mosquito/fly repellant for dogs?
Will Heartguard prevent any other infectious type illnesses carried by mosquitos other than heartworms ?
I have a fan blowing on my kennel it does a pretty good job with flies and mosquitos but there's still some risk.
