Psycho Roy
I have a (coming 6yo) off Roy and a local bitch Terry Rafferty (sp?) bought. My psycho female is a dual grand UKC, PKC ch with $2,800 won and has $1,100 won in chkc. She was 18 months old before she ever treed a wild coon, once she did she never looked back. Psycho finished to NtCh as a 2 year old, as a 3 year old she finished to a PKC ch and finished 3rd in the Michigan PKC state race. She is a deadly accurite dog. She has been a little rough on the tree (has 1 scratch for aggression that is gone by now). She was hunted all over Mi and Ind. she had won anyplace I've taken her but Ohio. Good honest strike dog first tree dog that tries to be alone if possible. Independent to a fault as a 2,3 year old.....she would wait for the other dogs to open figure out where they were and then hunt away from them. Trees coon as she comes to them, will hunt out a 5 acre woods before leaving. Psycho has always been a stright dog that I've never had a problem with off game with. She handles like a cur dog and hunts like one when alone.....if you cut her with another dog there's no telling where she's going to wind up but she will have a coon when you get there. As a 2/3 year old I would guess she won about 70% of the cast she was put in. I would put her on the ground agents any dog any place and not feel like I needed luck to win.
Having said all this about psycho I feel I have to add some in site on my hunting style; I DO NOT PLEASURE HUNT!!! I killed 50 coons to psycho after she turned 18 months old in Oct. Nov. and Dec. I killed more coons to her that year than any other year since. After that Dec. if psycho was turned loose it was in a hunt of one type or another, I don't believe she has 50 nights of pleasure hunting since that fall. She is the best I've ever owned and trained.
