I posted a five generation pedigree on page four of the breeding question post. He was bred by Darian Dillion. Darian started him and didn't feel he had the time to hunt him hard enough so he gave him to a young boy. From what I have heard the boy sold him to a dog dealer in northern Ohio who sold him to Matt Ross of Afhens Ohio. Matt is a hard hunter who knows how to get a dog ready for competition. Matt sold him in July to a guy who sold him to his current owner. From what I heard about the dog from guys who know what a coon is is that he is tough.

There was 4 pups out of this cross. 1 female and 3 males. The female got
Hit on the road and killed young. All 3 males started very young. From the first night in the woods they wasn't afraid to go Huntin. 2 had pretty good mouths and diesel the one mr atwell now owns has a loud mouth. The one I kept from the cross treed his first solo coon at 5 months old but was a bawl mouth tree dog and that's why I sold him. Darrin had both diesel and a litter mate and sent diesel to a fella up north to hunt while he hunted his litter mate. When went up one night and hunted with him as a young pup and seen him split tree and do some good work so we brought him back down and I started to hunt diesel. He pretty much started on his own and was easy to train. When rut time came he started to miss and tree a lot of dens and then our winter got pretty bad and I wasn't able to hunt him much so I ended up giving him back to Darin. Darrin wasn't able to hunt much so he decided to give him to a youth hunter around here to hunt and that's all I know about his younger days. It's a shame more people didn't breed to magic as he threw the right kind of pups. If anyone would like to talk with Darin I'd be glad to give you his number.
