Banshee if you can find them. Zepps would be my other choice.

Chatterbox cb2 or they say the new hybrid !, Josh has it when it comes to squallers and I have used a bunch of the others and still have them and they are a waste compared to the chatterbox by BGSC!!!!

This is just my opinion...a coon squaller is a coon squaller. What I'm saying is that they'll look no matter what you're blowing. Again that's just my opinion. Not try to ruffle any feathers.

I also thought they were all the same. But you get a cb2 and you will have one that will sure make a lot more coons look ,move and jump then any squaller I have ever seen are heard and number two isn't close !!!! Believe it or not they all are the same and then there's a chatterbox!!!!

I have tried them all. Just as many coons look at my 25 year old Timothy Ball as they do my new $40.00 "Two Lookin Down" call. Coon squallers are like LED lights...there are no bad ones. They all will work at times and not work at other times. They all just make the high pitched scream of a scared raccoon. The idea that someone has stumbled onto a magic sound that will cause ALL raccoon's to look is a joke. How many different or special sounds can you get out of a reed and a tube????? But there is one magical one out there that beats out all the others??? They are just entirely too simple for that to be so. You can best believe if it were a fact, instead of some fanboys dream, everyone and I mean everyone would have that one brand.
Gary Roberson at Burnham Bros. makes a predator call called the "Mighty Blaster"....I have just as many coons look at that and it aint even a coon squaller!!!! It's a loud screaming rabbit!!!! Bottom line, if they aint gonna look you could blast 'em with the steam whistle off the Titanic and it wont help.

Hundreds.......maybe thousands.

Insert Bore Diameter, Reed combo, how the Reed is bladed, reed material, call material, # of reeds, all effect the sound.

If it were as easy as you make it sound I'd just stick a Reed in a tube.

T.Balls squaller has been the death of many coons. I've had just as good luck using my mouth as any squaller.

Yes sir, wouldn't we like to have about a $20.00 bill for every coon that has looked at one of those little squallers!!!! I still have my wooden Timothy Ball with the compass imbedded in it...I think it was some kind of limited edition. I bought it at the Virginia State Championship back in 1986, when they used to have it at Hopewell.

the old man that taught me to hunt always just used his mouth to make a crazy sound kinda like a coon I guess lol but he always had good luck seeing them. im new back into coon hunting after a 12year absence. ive got a squeller coming as a gift and that is what I will use cause it was a gift and anything will make them look I believe if they aint gonna look they aint gonna look!! just my 2cents which aint worth much.

squallers

They work, but they make it harder to tree another coon in the area. (my opinion). If I was going to turn loose again I would try to find the coon without one.

I can squall with just my mouth, but between looking up and squalling I get dizzy. lol

I couldn't squall with a coon squaller for years. There is definitely a technique to it. I have to disagree with the idea that anyone can pick one up and make coon look just by plain ole blowing on it.

The squaller I have now I have actually squalled coons out of their den, but now I have nearly 40 years of experience.

What you said is true about they are a technique about using a squaller to use it right just as with any kind of reed call and all coon squallers made up to 2000 i thought was pretty much the same in the way they worked and what sound come from them but after 2000 you started seeing them change they had more than one reed up to three and they started making them more user friendly and in my eyes Zepp's is the ones that led the way and even though the new calls are making the same sound come from them just about anyone can use them and it takes a lot less air to do it and they are loud, if you know how to use a squaller any of them will work from the base one to the top shelf one but i think if you have never used one the new style would work better for you and ive used the old type and the new type but i still carry one a friend made me over 30 years ago and its still making coons look.

PS Olt N27

I have never used but one coon squaller PS Olt N27 .I had one when i was 19 years old but i lost it .Then about a year ago i talk to guy on UKC that said he had bought Olt out. He said could make me one just like my old one .I got it and it sounds and looks just like the old one. I like it a lot
it sounds like a coon fighting a dog .I use the red lens to look for the coon while i blow on the caller with my hand cup over the end of the caller moving it back forth , most of them will look but not all of them will .

I know a guy that says none of them coon squallers work very good. Says when his dogs tree very seldom does he get a coon to look. Even in trees about 10 ft. high with no leaves and he still couldn't get a coon to look.
