tick problems

What's the fastest way to kill ticks on a dog? Took mine out the other night and he is covered with them from head to toe. I bathed him with tick killing shampoo but said it could take up to 10 days. Was wondering if there was something else to do, I don't want him to get sick.

Thanks

Bravecto !!!!! One pills last 3 months. Give him a bravecto pill and then remove his bedeing and replace with cedar chips to start and use permtherin around kennel and under box if you don't have the box up off the ground !! These couple things and you should be good !!! Bravecto cost is 35$ each pill but like I said lasts up to 90 days so if you live up Midwest are northern states that's 3 a year cause the 3 winter months they shouldn't need one !!!

I paid $60 for one pill last week but it had a $30 rebate and again, it's good for 3 months.

It def costs when you are servicing 6 dogs very three months but IMO. I ask a lot from one that resides here !!!!! It is my responsibility to feed that dog top food make sure they have clean warm box and bedding and give it the meds to keep it healthy ivomec once a month !!! Bravecto every three months , along with a cattle tag once a summer and lime around daily cleaned kennels !!! And knock on wood I haventhad any issues !!! The cost of sufficient but a lot cheaper than treating ones for lymes are heartworms etc....JMO

So I can get 50lb bags of hydrated lime. Will that work around the kennel? You just sprinkle it on the floor?
