Who has the best blue dog.

Ok who has the best blue dog. I am a older hunter and don't want to spend the next 3 years trying to find the right breed to look for a blue dog.

Unfortunately, there isn't a human alive that has hunted with enough of the Blueticks across this nation and Canada, to make an assessment like that-sorry!

all depends!

It all depends on what you look for in that "best dog"
some folks like the dog to get thru the country and tree
other folks would rather have one that hunts in the area where they wish to hunt.

Myself I am almost 70 and dang sure will not spend the night looking for a hot nose dog that might be 1-3 miles away on posted land!
If they cannot tree a coon in the range of 1/2 mile then they might find a new home.

Surveyor,
I know who put you out in 2010 and that would be Tiny a little walker female.
Where do you live? I would like to hunt with you again. I really like your little blue dog.
2010 Third Place, Gr Nt Ch. Hardwood Tiny....

Mark V,
I had one of thoughts also.

WolfmanBrother,
I just forgot..........

Driftwoodblue,
I have to agree. Too many coon now days to travel very far or take
very long doing it.

I had to exit hunting in 2011 after 28 years to attend other things.
But I would like to get back in it again if I can find some thing that is worth the time.
I live in Indiana now but travel to Illinois offten and would like to hunt a little again to see if I can take it.

I truly believe Rebel was the best. He wasn't all that fast on water because he would only walk.

Blue

I may be wrong but the way I interpreted this question was this guy is looking to hear from others on what is the best blue they have been with lately so to give him some lines or dogs to look into. I think others looked at the question in a different way or just keep quiet not wanting to step on any toes of other bluetickers. Anyhow it is easy to say that we all dont think alike when it comes to what we look for in a hound but we can give our opinion on what we have seen in the woods and what we thought was the best. Our opinions might give this guy a start in the right direction.

I havent been able to see a whole lot go other than my own but the best I seen latley was a young male Tom Jennings owns name Prodigy. Only got to see the dog one night but I liked him.

Hope others would be willing to share whats the best blue they have seen lately.

Rowdy

No worries Rowdy, I wasnt directing anything towards your post. Mostly just putting it out there to the 1000 plus hunters who looked at this question and couldnt find an answer due to maybe overthinking it. Guy wanted to know what others thought was the best blue they have hunted with an outa 1k plus views he got 3 answers. Thought maybe we could raise that ratio for him and I also am interested in what people are seeing out there that they like.

Hopefully others are seeing more of what they like in a blue hide than I am around here!

Happy Huntin to ya

Smile Jet

I own a 2 year old female out of Jet8. She keeps up well with any of our walker dogs. I am not extremely knowledgable about bluetick bloodlines but I do love my Jetta!

Man who doesn't toot his own horns horn goes untooteth!

I'm not scared I have 4 coondogs that will do all the bragging themselves. I bought these hounds so I can't take credit for making them what they are. GRCH GRNITECH Mosleys Blue Boomer, GRNITECH GRCH Hollywood Blue Camo, NITECH Uchtmans Blue Maude, and BTTB Bunny. I can carry any of the four and have a coon hunt! I'm breeding Boomer and he is producing. Boomer is also a SCH and Maude is a CH in the other arena. With that being said they have a semi sorry crippled owner that let them get rusty with this heat and the rattlers here lately but they'll have the edge back on soon.

Best blue dog

Leon's dark side, Check him out on the stud dog page. Owner goes by TAG. WINNER in the hunts and one hell of a hide hound.
