Coon Hunting in Indiana

I am wanting to come to Indiana to camp out and coon hunt about a week or 2 before Autumn Oaks. Are there any good places to do this and where ?

There is several campgrounds not far from Autumn Oaks and there is a lot of State ground to hunt on.

Look here

The DNR website has info on where to camp, public hunting areas, license info/purchase etc etc. The closest camping area is Brookville Reservoir. The most private campground will be at Quakertown SRA. If you would like to stay in a modern full furnished cabin, look at Whitewater State Park. All of this is 30-40 minutes from Richmond.

Indiana Hunting

Haven't you read the boards here? The hunters in Indiana are a bunch of liars who pencil whip the scorecards at the coffee shop. It's not possible to have the scores of some of the big hunts here. Can't be done.....

There are no coons here, I would stay at home!

Ain't that right HOBO?

Hoosier is 200% correct.... There are NO coon in Indiana, and especially anywhere close to where Hooiser lives.... Never ever ask to go hunting with Hoosier.... He never ever miss the paths for you and he also doesn't do a good job of getting the spider webs out of your way....

Not to mention he will pull a low hanging limb all the way to the breaking point and about the time it is fixing to snap, he will let it loose in your face!
