As Mr. Don said, there's numerous hounds behind these that carry the open face trait. Usually more than half of the pups have been open faced. This line tends to produce hounds with few body marks and sometimes hounds without any.
The people before me preserved this type of hounds with these traits. I can't and wont take credit for their hard work. This strain was handed down to me so I feel it's my obligation to keep it true. It's not only the looks of these that's impressive but more importantly the ability. All dogs look the same in the dark! I will always have this strain of hound. They were bred this way, tested and proven by the men of our past. I speak highly of these hounds because they are truly high class hounds. Old breeding that's continuing to prove itself today and that reproduces the same type. Driftwood, Grant, Farber, Silver Mist, Burch and even some Vaughn and a dose of Green and Lee Bros way back.
