Ok guys real interested to hear real input on this question I know everyone has opinions and that is fine and understandable but I want real factual info from people who know what breeding is about and not just selling high dollar pups I'm talking take away the money won and made and just the natural real coonhound ability good and bad but anyone's input is welcome I think as hunters these hounds need to be bred and preserved to what a coonhound should be not necessarily the showiest stylish and blow thru the country passing 10 to tree one alone but all natural tracking,teeing, trainability, handle and naturally starting ability with brains and temperament. Able to work out a cold track and put and end to it not boo hooing and never finish. Anyways let's hear what you guys think

Everyone is going to say whatever they are hunting is all of that.

Only thing our stuff is consistent about is mouth. They are all loud.

This is true most people generally are gonna go with what they are running lol but just interested in the traits In General of different lines house bred hardwoods rebel Harry and so on and even some of the new lines cower creek Clint me clean you get the pic

You seem to be from the hills of Kentucky.

Wipeout dogs do pretty good around the country, and you ought to be able to find some locally to hunt with.

Ha what's wrong with the hills lol and I don't wear shoes and ain't got not teef haha no actually not just have simple rooted ways I guess but nice to finally see somebody commenting and I have a line of hounds I run and are proven around just wanting to see what other people think of the different strains of blood and how people see em and I don't care so much bout one blowing thru the country first drop but got plenty of drive want em to get to their self but don't blow by 12 coons to tree one a mile away use their head and nose like they should accurate as a dog should and is gonna be there ain't any 90% dogs lol and have a big horn on em handle track well and big locates they turn over we'll get trees and hooked and be sure even if it ain't completely right what everyone wants and don't exist that's all

I don't hunt walkers anymore but have hunted with and owned alot from different bloodlines. Just ask a few die hard walker people in your area. I would say the line that I have seen that suited my preference were wipeout hounds and I'm not talking about this new stuff that's got one major wipeout dog stud in 3 generation and people calling them wipeout. Most of the better ones I hunted with were independent trailing style hounds that were tireless hunters and they worked great in thin coon. And were still ready to go at 2:00 for the late round. Most of the other lines of walkers were 2 tree minded to work in my area - not saying all. The problem with most people that had thick coon they pound the ground to much. When conditions were harsh they seem to come out on top. $kc has all there major hunts in the south through the winter. Big example look at the amount of trucks they have won but not many ukc world titles. So it does not matter what line you go with you will get many different opinions I just gave mine. I've seen coondawgs from all the lines. It just seems the better balanced hounds I've seen we're wipeout hounds.

I have one Trader pup, and two dogs out of Wipeout Suds on the bottom. One is duds, who is out of skippers deuce, the other is a female out of dollar. When you say trailing dogs, its an understatement. Duds makes two trees in a cast most times, both will have coons, he will pound around some, and he goes too far for most people in a cast. The gyp out of dollar trees about once every 100 miles

Coma blood- it come from the same line of dogs as the wipeout line. Trailing type of dogs with big voices,accurate, and plenty of tree. The ones i have are medium nosed and did i say big voices.

Dchartt has one that I'm sure is accurate since his sister and mother are by far the two most accurate dogs I have ever seen being mi e or anyone else's !!!! And I'm talking 18 out of 20 every time all the time !!!!! **** shame she had a common mouth cause there are special!!! And born dead loners they came out that way and just some super nice cross !!! james grices old Ragin Bo and my sunrise x Shea female they have been around and the whole litter seems to be way way above average when it comes to having coons in them trees!!! Oh there were things I would have changed about sister and mother or they both would still be eating my food !! But having coons and independence wasn't a problem in either one !!!!!!!!

Where am I wrong at and I do not own one at this time but clover dogs deadly accurate and most likely big mouth dogs which now is down in the wipeout breeding.

Why more people don't hunt clover dogs is a mystery to me.

I have hunted every breed out there in the last 35 years have seen good and bad in all breeds and lines but hands down for seeing coons in their trees and being smart and easy to handle the skuana River dogs are what works for me I just don't like walking to empty trees would not not hunt the loudest best looking dog in the world if it didn't have coons I have here in my kennels to back up what I'm talking about anyone is welcome to come take a hunt with them no excuses made. Ther are other accurate lines out there also I just like skuana River bred dogs for my use.

Hello buddy just wanted to take a min and say I have had good luck with skuna river dogs in the past been out of coon hunting for the last 6-7 yrs and and just solely rabbit hunted but now that my kids are the ages they are me and them have been tryin to get back in for bout 4-5 months with lil luck lol I found its a lot harder to find a real dog that's it was back then a few yrs even they are all too high strung or just junky or slick treein like crazy tried several with minimal luck at all what kind of hounds are you running and do you ever have anything young or started or a pup from time to time that is what I would call a real dog lol which is how you described yours earlier In the post thanx buddy
