In the past entries have been down. We had 12 last year. It hasn't been widely advertised in the past either. We just added the water races this year. We are hoping this will pull in more dogs for the hunt.

All winners will receive plaques and a prize. Various prizes have been donated.

Yes the swim race is ukc licensed for UKC registered hounds only. And yes Dave is correct it's a big pond lol.

As for the kids we will have a kids non licensed bench show Saturday and all kids will receive a prize.

There is one in Carroll, OH and one in Perry County. Those would be your two closest clubs.

You can hunt either night for prizes. Reg, ch, grch in all events get plaques and prizes. It's the King and Queen of hunt that requires both nights of hunting. You could still win a plaque and prizes though. I hope that clears up any questions! You do not have to show both nights to win King or Queen of Show. There will not be a King and Queen of water race this year. That's in the plans for next year :-) But line and tree in each category winner gets a plaque and prize that's been donated.

How did your hunt go? I had hoped to come out there but just couldn't make it. I was just curious how many dogs you got and what kind of scores you had.

I will be posting pictures as soon as I get them from the photographer. King of Hunt was 475+ Steve Niles. I'll look up dogs name when I post pictures :-) Queen of hunt was Carl Cottrell with 125+. 20 dogs in the hunt on Friday and only 8 Saturday. We had huge thunderstorms roll in and it kept the hunters at bay. The casts on Saturday had no scores. The coon started moving after the storms passed around 3am. Not a great end but unfortunately mother nature wasn't on our side. Still a great turnout and I want to thank everyone who came. There was 13 in the show (big show for us), 3 in the water races on Saturday. There was 16 in the show, 11 in the water race on Sat. Again I will post win pictures when I get them.

I want to thank my club members who helped make this event a success as well. Without you it wouldn't have went off as smoothly as it did. I can't thank you enough for your support!
