Garmin alpha ?

When i turn my handheld on it comes on to the screen where it says garmin then goes blank and has a little ack line across it anyone ever had thus problem or know how to fix it other than send it back to garmin thanks for any help you can give

I would get ahold of Bruce Conkey he knows a lot about these things,,and maybe a master reset would help,but don't know,,if Bruce can't help,,then you'll need to call garmin

Mr. Paul it sounds like a battery problem. I assume it is fully charged. I would remove the battery. Put it on a charger and turn it on and see if it works then. If you have a friend that has one, try his battery.

Thank you Mr. Conkey I got it back working I left it in truck with windows up and it got to hot I put it on the air conditioner vent to cool down some and it started working again, disaster averted will not do that again again thank you for the reply
