If my memory is right they are usually ripening around end of June here. About the same time corn is knee high. I have a year old pup I'm hunting now and I am waiting for the mulberries to come on. Right now hunting is pretty tough for a pup. Only coon seen are around creeks and ponds. He finally treed one on the outside last night on a creek. Lately he's finished lots of tracks that have gone underground. Hopefully soon that will change and I'll get him clicking.

Here in south Louisiana, they are done. Birds were so bad on them this year, I never got to pick any.

We have a few here but darned few, I've never even factored them into the coon population. Some of those guys in other states must have allot of them. I can see if they grew in abundance in your area they would surely be good for coon hunting.
