smallest line of curs

just wondering what the smallest line of curs was I really like the bigger fiest but just not many seem to be breeding the type I am looking for. I want a dog around thirty pounds that uses its nose to get treed not just sight and hearing

Yeah...I have a 7 month old Stephens female, and I'll be surprised if she weighs much over 30 when she's full grown. That's actually a really good thing IMO.

The Stephens Curs that are heavy JR bred will be smaller for exactly the same reason that many of the streak bred OMCBA dogs are.

Yeah, I grew up and hunted with the prominent breeder that was responsible for the smaller line of Stephens. He lived about 3 miles from me.

Kinda strange, he didn't like big dogs but his OMCBA female that was famous was a big ole Busher dog.

I think you will see most of the ones that isn't yaller or isn't ring necked have pretty good ear on them. But then some people do like a little bird dog in there cur also.

with the vice president of the stephens association this weekend, the ones he had probably were 30-35 pounds real sharp lookin dogs... he knows a good dog too... so I'd say they would hunt

Care to explain why the Streak dogs have short ears, pointed noses and both front legs look like they come out of the same hole.

I sincerely doubt he could judging from some of the questions he was asking about curs under his old username not all that long ago. I don't think he has had his training wheels off all that long with curs.
