The 100,000 LUX ULTRA HD

I would like to introduce to you the Sunfire Ultra HD as in “high definition”!

Same great quality as a matter of fact everything is the same except. The color of the white light shifted to a more natural color light and the color led on the bottom is now 3 times as bright as it was.
Also the light Dims down now giving you notice to be able to get out of the woods.
The color shift to the yellow is not as yellow as the old 5100 heads but is a better color rendering light. It’s a natural sunlight color.
We can update any Ultra that is currently in use just give us a call and I’ll let you know the details.
100,000 lux of brightness in a medium sized spot.
(Actual reading not a number I made up to sound good)

19.5 oz on the bump cap

Your choice of color led Red, Green or Amber

125 hours on the 1st click
70 hours on the 2nd click
35 hours on the 3rd click
2.5 hours on 4th click

The original Ultra will still be available. Some guys like the color of the light so it will continue to be an option.

Well if you don't use it to walk a lot I would suggest the red, If you use it to walk a lot I would get the amber. The Green is an option and is brighter than the other two but its not the one that I use. Some people swear by it though.

got a red and green and i like the green mainly for walking doesnt seem to mess with my eyes and picks up coon eyes awesome. red has amazed me on few trees getting eyes though.

being a light junky probly gonna have to get an amber light as well!!!

Sam is correct we had a discussion about this over a year ago. For Sunspot we made several changes to the light that took care of the negative draw backs to the change like the lumen output drop, smaller spot and color change. Although there is a color change we chose a much cooler led so that the change was more to a natural clear color rather than a real yellow. We made a current change so that our lumen output did not change. We made a battery change so that our burn times didnt change. We made a lot of changes to the light in preparation for this change. It was not a last minuet thing for us to try to mach another light. I applaud Sams decision to take his time and do this correctly. I also welcome Mr Blue Banger to test my light and let the world know the results.

This is a bad cell phone pic but it lets you see that the spot size did not change. On a wall there might be a very fraction of a difference but its so close you can not tell it in the woods.

Michael - its no secret about offsetting the side effects - I'm just not ready to jump in the middle of bump cap brightness war - have fun.

I didn't say anything was a secret Sam. You illustrated the negative effects of the change and I let everyone know what I had done to head off those negative effects.

As far as a war goes I didn't plan on anyone else doing it.

I guess I underestimated how many people would want their Ultra's upgraded to the new HD. It feels like they are coming in by the truck loads. Remember if you want your color upgraded also to include a note inside the box letting me know. Thanks

Thanks Michael, I sent my light out on Tuesday so I didn't know to ask for my RED LED to be upgraded, when I placed the note inside the box, I just assumed that was part of the upgrade. So Please upgrade the red LED as well on my light.
P.S. If I need to send additional money, drop me a note inside when you ship it back, and I'll send you the check.

Cant get that bright and keep the color right now. I like the warmer color better. Its not really a yellow to me it gives a more natural sunlight color. The Ultra is so bright that a lot of people are happy to just keep it like it is and you can still order it with the 55k lux and cooler white light. They both cost the same amount. The HD is just an option that a lot of people are opting for. Great photo's!

Just curious, were you able to get to mine. I shipped it out to you last Tuesday, 6-17-14. Not sure what day it got to you.

I do have another light I can use till you get it back to me but, danged, "I sure like that Ultra sunfire light!!

Yes sir Mr. Dave yours is on its way back. Everyone that has ordered a light and everyone that sent one in for upgrade have been shipped. We shipped 46 upgrades out yesterday that came in Friday and Saturday.
