diatomaceous earth

I'm looking into using Diatomaceous earth as a top dressing on dog feed for wormer. Local guy that raises beagles said the stuff works good, just looking for more info from others that have tried diatomaceous earth(Food grade).

Good stuff for that. Fleas ear mites and keep insects off the place

Some have good luck some don't. I believe in it so much I bought a tractor trailer load and use it on my farm as insecticide on crops. Yes,they are organic so it is a little costly but it works for me.

I didn't have a lot of luck with it as a wormer or to get rid of fleas except we spread it on the yard where the dogs run and it did kill the fleas in the grass. biggest plus to that was it is not harmful to the dogs so didn't have to worry about them getting sick.

I have heard of people having luck with it as a wormer, just didn't seem to help with mine.

Fed it for a while and wasn't sure if it was effective and quit feeding it. Just after season went out I had a dog with tapeworms so I broke it back out. Started moistening its feed and putting it back on the feed fairly heavy. After about a week I was about to give up and the dog passed a wad of tapeworms. I waited about a week and started all over again. About two weeks later the dog passed another wad of tapeworms and has been clean ever since. It worked in this case.
