Licensed Events Held and Not Advertised Question

I know of a couple hunts held in Pa and Ohio that were held this past month that were not advertised in the back of CoonHound Bloodlines.
How is this possible?

I already know the packets are now being sent out the first of the year and the clubs are to either send in as usual for the license or I thought could pay all up at once and license would be sent for corresponding dates.

This is absolutely crazy. With entries already depressed how can it be justified that as long as it is on the main board it is okay?Everyone does not have access to a computer or get on this web page.
I just found out about this last week.I actually missed three hunt and show events within 50 miles I would have probably went to but had no clue because it was not in the advertised section in the Bloodlines.

One hunt had 6 total entries . 4 were club members and the other 2 were friends of theirs that told them there was a hunt that day.

Okay, so that is just great for the clubs that paid all the required license fees and UKC fails to put the hunt in the back of Bloodlines .The club has a measly turnout because only club members were aware of the event .
In my case I never knew the 3 hunts were even held .I am a subscriber and there should not be a need to go online to check for up coming events.
That was the whole idea years ago that the requirement to advertise was dropped. One convenient place to find all events.
Bloodlines for me is still the official site to find this months events location.
What about the poor fella that still does not have internet?
The clubs are the ones that stands to lose the most with reduced entries.
Just one more reason to no longer need to subscribe to the Bloodlines.
FOR SHAME ON SOMEONE!!!!

Easy Pat. It's not a matter of forgetting to post it in the magazine. Instead it's a matter of the club not confirming it in time to be posted in the magazine.

Hunts

I thought HTX Hunts where the only hunts that can be put on the Computer,(30 DAY'S notice), I have always thought that a hunt had to be listed in the Magazine, for a club to have a U.K.C. Hunt. If club did not confirm hunt in time then they should of had to schedule it at a later date. This just opens up a can of worms for the clubs that do not follow what was U.K.C. Rules.

Mike,
The Upcoming Events Listing is downloaded directly from the computer system. If it's in the computer it downloads, if it's not it doesn't. That said, it could be our fault if we have your mailed confirmation before the deadline and still we failed to process it before the deadline. Sometimes we get confirmations post marked on the 29th, 30th etc... . Those usually don't get to Kalamazoo in time.

So yes, your right.... we have made such mistakes and it will likely happen again. Considering the number of events we process each month I'm proud of our staff for consistently keeping those mistakes slim to none.
