Love it. I've had them for many years. I've never even had to turn it up past level 3

make sure you take the batterys out or use a dummy collar after they learn where they aren't supposed to bark..

we have 2 dogs now that think the tracking collar is a no bark collar and are completely silent on track an tree on a 3 second old track,,

cant hunt without trackers as they both cover a lot of ground when coon not moving much..

completely broke another one off coon with a no bark,, didn't know that the coon were what was causeing the barking everynight at 9:30-10:00pm..
one of the best dogs we had too..

good luck .

we used the radartron nobark ,
the one we used that broke the dog off coon was the old yellow one used 9volt battery, dont think they make it no more...

.

I think you made a good choice. Just remember the charger is not a smart charger and do not leave it charging for more that 24 hours. I think the instructions say 48 hours max but I would be conservative.

I bought one a couple years ago and it was complete junk. Only worked part of the time and was shocking dogs some even when they didn't bark. I hope you have a better experience.

Gun dog supply

I bought 3 from Gun Dog Supply the YS-500 from them are a lot better than the "Tri-Tronics bark limiter".
years ago I bought one of those with that yellow can looking thing. it was not hot enough to do the job on some dogs.. the same with the Bark limiter.. to date I have not had to turn the YS 500 past level 4!!!

by the way I would think maybe some of the stuff sold on e-bay may be a bit sub-standard. some is good and some things are a good bit less than good!--why is it on E-bay?

like bruce said,, the ys500 is what I used to turn 2 dogs into silent trailers with trackers on them...

I may be able to use the collars as dummy collars now as wont stay charged now .

had one dog so stubborn he burn 2 holes in his neck, I think he must liked the rush he got from the shock..

might want see if can order extra battery with yours, think I overcharged mine an burnt the batterys up like bruce said..

they are cheaper off ebay but getting warrentty work done might be problem.

does bruce sell extra batterys for them???

ok thanks,, saw they were $25 on that link
might be able to take old one to radio shack and get one cheaper, dont know yet.

when they working, they do the job,,

just gotta teach 2 dogs the difference between shock and tracker collar now.

wouldn't beleaved it if hadn't seen with my own eyes..

saw both dogs lights when they ran track and caught a coon on ground, killed it and one dog took off with coon and other dog chased it, went away from me and not one booger bark out neither dog...haven't taught them to fetch yet,,lol

before using the nobark collar both dogs were everybreath wide open coondogs with tracker collar on..

cant turn loose without tracker, together they will cover 2 miles in no time raceing each other if don't smell coon first.

Apparently every dog is different. I keep bark collars or dummy collars on my dogs and they give plenty of mouth on track. I turn dog loose in 4 acres where they tree squirrels with the bark collars on and it teaches them not to tree in the yard, especially squirrels. I have no problems in the woods with them treeing. They ain't going to bark at my house and stay.

I tried new batteries in mine. Still want work. Could be chargers but ever model Ive got has a different size hole. Whats up with that recken? I got shafted I think. Course they will never work again now. Ive took all kinds of stuff apart on em and swapped it with parts off other ones I dont have a barker at the moment so Im good.

I have my dogs bred for loud mouths, my neighbors hate me,,lol

neighbors 1-2 miles away say sounds like dogs are on their porch at feeding time..

I try to keep the noise down as much as possible till one of them tick me off, then I break out the training hide and get all 10 barking,,

seen everything in here, chipmunks squirrels possum coon red fox yotes deer,,took pictures last fall of prince sitting at end of chain watching 2 yearly deer play about 40' from his box, just reg collar on ,looking at them like they were livestock.

breakout the coonhide or cagecoon without nobark and expect to get ears busted,,lol
