For those who wanted pups out of Jim, Please read

Dixie had 9 pups out of Jim. When I went to check them the following day, 5 of them were dead, leaving 4. Yesterday, another pup died, leaving three. I wormed them yesterday, and am hoping they will make it. I'm going to wait to see what happens before I let any pups go. I know I want to keep at least one, or maybe more. Not sure. I don't know what happened. I've never had this happen before. I apologize to those who spoke for pups. I will try again. Thanks for everyone's interest, and the many phone calls I received.

They were born one day, and the next morning five of them were dead. The dog house is large, but has no railing. I have lost pups one at a time, but never lost that many at one time.

Mr Edwards

My female had 15 once and lost all but 3 before I found out that she had an infection in her milk and I lost all but 3 within 2 days. One of her teats had an abscess and I couldn't tell till I took her into the Vet. Not saying that is your problem, but its worth checking. It's hard to believe she would lay on that many at once but I guess it's possible. Just one sip of that infected milk will do it. Just a thought. BTW, you may want to take them from her till you find out the problem, start bottle feeding them.

I haven't been able to yet. There are three left, and they are growing. I wormed them one time. I have been on the road, and when I was home, I had to speak at a marriage retreat.
