Boss Hot Spot 3D Cap light

I decided to break down and try a cap light, I have used the 21volt Kelley K light for a few years, this is my thoughts on the Boss light versus the K light

I was surprised how balanced the cap light was
The light has a tighter spot then the K Light
The Hot Spot is a softer yellow light
The K light lights up the whole tree , the Boss seems to penetrate the tree.
The green and red lights are awesome
The Boss also has a nice halo one 1 click.

Just my thoughts, Bruce Thanks for the great service!

Jeff D

im looking into getting the Boss Hotspot. What do you mean by "The Boss also has a nice halo one 1 click."

does the hotspot 3d give out a option of tight and flood?

Nick,

It does not have a spot or flood adjustment. The beam is plenty tight for me when shining trees. The halo I was referring to is on the first setting while shinning at the ground it has a center spot that shines in front of you but the light also puts off a halo of light around the spot that makes it nice for walking without much battery useage.

Thanks

Jeff D

I just ordered a boss hotspot 3d caplight like 2minutes ago haha

ive always worn belt light since I was a little kid. for years, ive complained about the cord getting tangled on something or getting caught under the light and ripping my head back.

im gunna give the caplight a try, I hear the head is heavy but we'll see

I was the same way. I got the boss hotspot for Christmas and I'll never own another belt light. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to it. its a great light!
