how often do you hunt?

How often does everyone hunt? Not nearly enough as Id like is my answer, Im sure several others also. Just wondering how many nights a week yall hunt. Some folks can hunt close to home others have to drive, some have shift jobs, family obligations etc. Any different during kill season?

The weather broke about 2 weeks ago from the negative temps and ive been in the woods 5-6 nights a week. Usually take sunday off. Get a night to just relax for me and the dogs.

.

I have a young man help me with my hounds and I am very grateful for that. Between the two of us our main dog is probably out 5 nights a week. I am lucky and have a nice place to take pups or some of the females we don't hunt on a regular basis in the morning. Good exercise in a controlled environment and a few coon to tree. Those dogs get out a couple times a week as we rotate them.

I have little ones also and they have that effect on you. It is easy to stay home when they want to spend time with you. cannot go wrong in my opinion spending time with the kids.

Use to miss a few nights a year.
Those were only if it was snowing and blowing so hard you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
Heck I was out there with pneumonia a few times.
Yeah.. I look back and think, Man I was stupid, but, it's a life.

Yep in the summer months. Might miss a night or 2 a month. Theirs a couple of us around here that live about a hour apart that hunt like that during the summer. Winter months it slows way down. Hunt about 2-3 hours a night. Right now the whole place is under water and its hard to find a place to hunt.

up until about 4 years ago I didn't think they made a bad night to go hunting. However, I got back into coaching and that takes up a lot of my time. Also, have two kids and stay home a lot more. However, if I like the young dog that I'm hunting it is amazing how much I will get out and go hunting!!!! Ha ha ha ha!!!
