Well first I would need more information as I don't completely understand your original post. You said Dog A was the only dog struck. You said as you walked you could hear other dogs marking but you never determined what dogs you heard barking. So was dogs B & C ever struck in? You also said one dog was treed but you never explained was it dog A, dog B, or dog C?
If dogs B & C WERE declared struck, they will get their strike points (only) plussed. If dogs B & C were not declared struck but were found to have been opening, they would be awarded their strike points and minused for failure to have declared their dog struck on or before the third bark. If any of these dogs were DECLARED treed, that dog's tree points would be deleted as no tree points can be awarded for catching coon on the ground. If no dog was DECLARED treed then there is no issue with tree points. unless someone in your cast asked for the stationary rule to be applied prior to you going in to the tree.
If all dogs were declared struck and treed, Dogs A & B would get their strike points (only) plussed and their tree points deleted, dog C would get its strike and tree points minused if it stayed on they tree that you feel the coon may have been up. Not because you think that is where the coon come from but because you have to score it as you see it when your ears cannot determine the difference from where dog C is treeing and dogs A&B are chomping on this dead coon.
I hope my hillbilly explanation helps you some, LOL!! Good Hunting!
