I've been to the mountaintop...

Literally.
Dropped my gyp at about 650' of elevation night before last. Second tree that night was at 2050'.
Decided to hunt bottoms last night and started in water ankle deep, and finished just above the top of my hop waders.
Don't know which I hate worse...

hunts

Sounds miserable!!! Been on both types myself thru the years- neither was fun. Come to Iowa & I'll guarantee nothing that high or that wet. Plus plenty of coon to tree. Take care, Ron.

PS- My sister lives about 10 miles from Russellville & it looked like what you're talking about!!!

Yep.
I live about halfway between row crop country and the mountains, and each provide unique hunting. I try to avoid the mountains in the summer, and hunt them alot through the winter. Had to sneak one more mountain trip in for the year and ended up doing a lot of climbing.
Time to go fight snakes and mosquitos for a few months!
